How is Norway Contributing to the Hydrogen Future?
After huge oil giant Shell partnered with Norsk Hydro to produce green hydrogen, HIL gives an overview of what the project entails.

Norsk Hydro and Shell come together to work on joint projects on green hydrogen production. It comes on the back of Shell’s commitment to becoming a net-zero corporation by 2050.

The partnership will focus on scaling up hydrogen sites in Norway, increasing hydrogen production in hubs across the country. The hydrogen will be for the heavy industry and the transport sector.

This collaborative approach aims to find opportunities for production and supply for future hydrogen projects. It will allow for the scalability of production to come sooner than individual business efforts.

Other businesses must come together as the world pushes towards net-zero. It is encouraging to see big oil and gas companies such as Shell leading this new approach.
