Global Hydrogen Production: Australia and New Zealand
After Australia and New Zealand pledge a hydrogen future, HIL explores exactly what they’re committing to.
Australia and New Zealand are entering demonstration phases in green hydrogen production as they push for a net-zero future.
For example, Coregas will install a $1 million refuelling system and dispenser in early 2022.
This will lead to the opening of Australia’s first commercial hydrogen refuelling station in New South Wales.
Additionally, ATCO uses a clean energy innovation hub to power their refuelling station at Jandakot depot in Western Australia.
Meanwhile, in New Zealand, eight refuelling stations are being established from 2022. Hiringa Energy will be responsible for the rollout, with a further 16 stations to be introduced from 2024.
