Can the UK Provide a Third of Energy Production From Hydrogen by 2050?
Hydrogen Industry Leaders gives a snapshot of what a hydrogen future can be unlocked in the UK by 2050.

If the UK was to push for ⅓ of energy production to come from hydrogen, then thousands of jobs will be created and billions added to the UK economy annually.

Backing this up, the UK has released its 10 point plan for a green industrial revolution. It sets out the framework to create enough hydrogen to power ⅓ of the UK by 2050.

On this pathway, there are plans to deliver 5GW of hydrogen production capacity by 2030. Interestingly, this would create 9,000 jobs and grow to a value of €1.05 billion.
