Dawid Hanak is the Professor of Decarbonisation of Industrial Clusters at the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre. He leads transformational research to develop breakthrough technologies such as direct air capture, carbon capture, hydrogen production, and high-value chemicals and fuels synthesis. His expertise is in process design and development, third-party validation, techno-economic feasibility assessment, environmental impact assessment, and business model development. Dawid has helped multiple organisations to demonstrate the feasibility of their innovative net zero processes, develop market strategies, and quantify their business emissions across all scopes. To date, he has authored over 60 articles in prestigious academic journals and several trade articles about innovative technologies that can enable the green energy transition. He is also the UK representative member of the management committee and the leader of a working group on training, dissemination and engagement for the EU COST Action on techno-economic assessment of carbon mitigation technologies.
