Nick Shelley

Nick Shelley is the Senior Business Development Manager at Element 2 involved in hydrogen supply, network planning, vehicle manufacturers and customer relationships. He has a passion for clean safe energy and believes hydrogen can play a major role in decarbonising UK transport, alongside electric vehicles.

Element 2 is building a national network of safe high quality hydrogen refuelling stations to meet growing interest from commercial fleets. Their first permanent hydrogen refuelling site will open this year at Teesside International Airport. Element 2 also supplies hydrogen to industrial and off-grid customers. They target local sustainable hydrogen from renewables such as wind or solar, from waste recycling or industrial by-products. Hydrogen offers similar refuelling times, payload, uptime and range to diesel vehicles, but with zero CO2 emissions.

Before Element 2, Nick spent over 20 years working for ExxonMobil, selling under Esso and Mobil brands. He held UK, Europe and global roles in management, sales, marketing and logistics including living in Germany and Belgium.
