Technical Director - Dolphin N2
Dolphin N2 are developing the Recuperated Split Cycle Engine, a revolutionary heavy duty thermal propulsion system offering fuel-cell levels of efficiency (55% BTE), near-zero emissions (SULEV, or 5% of Euro VI NOx), and ability to transition to sustainable fuels such as Biomethane and Hydrogen without penalty. Based on heavy duty engine architectures, it is affordable to produce and easy to adopt, with operator payback of less than 12 months. The technology is now at running prototype stage, with Hydrogen-powered application demonstrations planned in construction equipment, power generation, truck and marine sectors. Dolphin aims to bring the engine to market in the 2025-2030 timeframe.
