Kyle Murchie
Specialist Connections Engineer, Roadnight Taylor

Kyle brings over 11 years of experience leading grid engineering teams across the UK energy sector. Before joining Roadnight Taylor, he held influential roles at SSEN Transmission, SSE Thermal, Electricity North West, UK Power Networks, and TNEI Services.

Kyle has a proven track record of delivering complex energy projects. He has led the engineering development of multi-million pound projects and spearheaded the grid aspects of projects valued at around £400 million through to successful delivery and commissioning. Notably, he led the connection of the 893MW Keadby 2 Power Station to the electricity and gas transmission networks while at SSE Thermal.

Kyle has also been heavily involved in hydrogen-based projects across the value chain, from electrolysis to hydrogen storage and use as an end fuel. He developed the grid aspects of a CCUS Phase 1 and Phase 2 bid, HAR 1 submission alongside feeding in to DESNZ and CCSA working groups.
