James holds the position of lecturer in Hydrogen at Swansea University working to enable the Hydrogen Economy and unlock the prosperity it can bring to the region, with the stated aim of driving a Fuel Cell car to work without a fuss before he retires. He specialises in the distribution and regeneration of critical materials across the hydrogen value chain, utilising electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering to develop novel materials and processes for the production and use of Hydrogen. A specialist in Hydrogen technology James has helped nurture entrepreneurs and remove barriers for Industry in the use of Hydrogen, helping establish refuelling, the use of hydrogen vehicles and running large public engagement campaigns. This work to develop the region and help industry innovate continues through the GW-SHIFT project, helping lubricate the path for industry, civic leaders, SMEs and Entrepreneurs into the Hydrogen Market.
