Jake Martin
Hydrogen Business Development Manager – EMEAI

Jake Martin joined Haskel in early 2022 and is responsible for International Hydrogen business development and strategic growth across the EMEAI regions. As a qualified engineer and Hydrogen refuelling subject matter expert he brings a wealth of knowledge from both a commercial and technical perspective working with customers from various industries including the MOD, Aerospace having worked for Boeing, Nuclear, Oil & Gas and most importantly the Hydrogen sector.

Jake has considerable experience in strategic business growth and with a techno commercial approach, supports the client in providing a turn-key solution. Before joining Haskel Jake was with Chesterfield Cylinders spearheading their hydrogen growth strategy from the ground up and achieving successes which included a 5 year framework agreement with Shell Hydrogen – this included standardisation efforts to reduce overall cost and offer peak TCO gains for the end user working with all major HRS providers within Europe.

Jake also successfully supported major fundraising activity through the developing Hydrogen story (AIM [PRES]) helping achieve inward investment specifically targeting green energy via gas containment of high-pressure Hydrogen for grid use and localised electrolysis use on refuelling stations – working directly with the shareholders and the board to raise the Hydrogen profile of the business.

Jakes key role is predominantly in building key strategic alliances with major blue-chip companies across the sector, securing foundational agreements which further bolster the benefits of implementing standardisation.
