Interface Manager for Energy Transition - Centrica

My current role is Interface Manager for Energy Transition at Centrica Energy Storage+, managing stakeholder engagement and technical readiness activities across all Centrica’s energy transition projects. This includes working closely with government and regulatory stakeholders, regional collaboration partners, hydrogen related R&D programs in the UK & internationally, and national hydrogen transportation and storage infrastructure projects.

I have worked for Centrica for 10yrs, predominantly in an Operations Engineer role supporting both onshore and offshore gas storage and production operations, but I have been in my current role working on the Rough redevelopment project for almost 3 years. Prior to joining Centrica, I spent 14yrs in the petrochemical industry at Saltend Chemicals Park with BP and Mitsubishi Chemicals.

Centrica’s transformational projects in the Humber:

  • Redevelopment of the Rough Gas field to increase natural gas storage capacity and develop new hydrogen-ready infrastructure
  • Development of GW-scale hydrogen production capability at our Easington Energy Hub
  • Decarbonisation of existing operations at Easington Terminal via hydrogen fuel switching
  • Development of offshore green hydrogen production, integrated with Rough storage operations.
