Bill is Arup’s Transport Planning Leader for Scotland, Northern Ireland and NE England and is actively pushing for a wider conversation on the role of Hydrogen in supporting delivery of our Net Zero commitments. Over a 30 year career he has successfully delivered projects across Europe and the Middle East with a focus on strategy and policy, multi-modal appraisal and master plan development. Most recently Bill has led Arup’s teams supporting development of a hydrogen train in Scotland, considering the potential of Hydrogen in heavy road freight and bringing ScotRail into public ownership.
