Second Hydrogen Summer ScH2ool organised in Western Macedonia
Following last year’s success, the Hydrogen Summer ScH2ool came back for its second edition at the University of Western Macedonia in ZEP Area, Kozani.
The participants of the Summer School included students (undergraduate and postgraduate), professionals, engineers, and technical staff at an international level, all keen on learning about the latest advancements in hydrogen technologies.
During the sessions, attendees had the opportunity to be trained by experts who are leading the way in the hydrogen industry, gaining the necessary skills and expertise to engage in the hydrogen value chain on an international scale. Furthermore, this event was the perfect opportunity for all participants to engage in fruitful discussions and interactions.
The training program covered the entire hydrogen value chain, including the production, storage, transportation, and end-use of hydrogen, as well as safety issues and economic aspects related to its production and utilization, with speeches and presentations by experienced academics and industry representatives.
Advent Technologies also conducted a pilot training program focused on High Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) technology, as well as a live demonstration of their products.
Furthermore, an interactive workshop took place, which included our soon-to-be-released Hydrogen Game, developed within the framework of the Green Skills for Hydrogen project. As part of the training program, a study visit was also organized at the industrial facilities of DESFA in Nea Mesimvria, Thessaloniki.
The successful 2nd Hydrogen Summer ScH2ool included 63 participants, who showed great interest during the sessions of the training program, which was organized by the Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia (CluBE) in collaboration with Advent Technologies within the European project Green Skills for Hydrogen, with the support of the University of Western Macedonia and the Region of Western Macedonia.
This event marked an important milestone in the journey towards reskilling and up-skilling future professionals in the flourishing hydrogen industry worldwide.
