Pure Hydrogen Secures AUD $3 Million Order for Hydrogen-Powered Heavy Vehicles

Australian clean energy pioneer lands major contracts to supply hydrogen fuel cell trucks for long-haul freight and construction

Pure Hydrogen, a leading Australian developer of hydrogen fuel cell technology, has announced two significant contracts worth a combined AUD $3 million (approximately $1.9 million) to supply zero-emission heavy vehicles powered by clean hydrogen.

The company has entered a conditional sales agreement with New South Wales-based Scott Lovatt Transport for the delivery of two TS70-400 Taurus hydrogen fuel cell prime mover trucks, valued at over AUD $2 million ($1.3 million). The deal is contingent on securing government funding, with both parties confident the necessary support will be approved following their application.

In addition, Pure Hydrogen has received a follow-up purchase order from Heidelberg Materials Australia for a second hydrogen-powered 8×4 agitator rigid concrete mixer truck. Featuring a 200kW fuel cell system, this vehicle will operate alongside an earlier unit deployed in Rockingham, Western Australia, enhancing the company’s footprint in the sustainable construction sector.

The concrete mixer is slated for delivery in early 2026, while the hydrogen fuel cell prime movers are expected by mid-2026.

Scott Brown, Managing Director of Pure Hydrogen, commented:
“This near-finalised agreement with Scott Lovatt Transport underscores the proven market demand for hydrogen-powered heavy vehicles after years of trials and regulatory milestones. The additional order from Heidelberg Materials further demonstrates the strong commercial potential of our hydrogen fuel cell technology and growing industry commitment to sustainable heavy transport.”

This landmark development highlights Pure Hydrogen’s role at the forefront of the hydrogen economy and the accelerating shift toward zero-emission heavy vehicles in Australia’s freight and construction industries.
