How is Hydrogen Production Being Explored in Thailand?
Toyota Motor Corporation, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, and Mitsubishi Kakoki Kaisha Ltd will come together to introduce biogas-derived hydrogen production equipment for the first time in Thailand. How will the equipment be used to decarbonise Thailand?

The hydrogen production equipment will be manufactured by Mitsubishi Kakoli and installed in Thailand in November 2023. It will focus on producing hydrogen from biogas derived from local chicken manure and food waste.

Together, Toyota Motor Corporation and Toyota Tsusho Corporation will work on hydrogen production to consider the construction and introduction of an overall system for the compression, storage, and transportation of biogas and hydrogen. In addition, both will look at the establishment of an operating system.

Unlike conventional hydrogen production equipment for hydrogen station-related facilities, the companies and their local affiliates will collaborate and hold discussions to optimise the design for local conditions.

It is said that the equipment will be used as part of a series of initiatives in the areas of producing, transporting, storing, and using hydrogen.
