Grant for India’s Advanced 63 MW Electrolyser Plant Awarded
Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas and Renewables have announced the grant of 63MW manufacturing capacity under the sustainable hydrogen innovation and green hydrogen technologies (SIGHT) programme.

 

The advanced electrolyser plant is positioned to contribute to India’s goal of producing 5 million metric tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030.

According to Chirag Kotecha, whole-time director, Matrix Gas and Renewables, a green hydrogen infrastructure developer and natural gas aggregator, was selected due to the technological and manufacturing expertise behind it.

He added: “Electrolyser manufacturing is a cornerstone of our strategic initiative, aligning seamlessly with our ambition for large-scale decarbonisation through the deployment of green hydrogen production plants.”

Ali Imran Naqvi, CEO – EPC business, Gensol Engineering, a sustainable energy solutions provider, said: “Gensol, leveraging this opportunity, aims to foster global partnerships, technological exchange, and innovation. Together, we are set to catalyse the adoption of green hydrogen globally, marking a new era in energy sustainability.”

Both companies are expected to continue collaborating and utilising their respective skillsets within the green hydrogen domain.
