SUMMARY:Hydrogen Industry 2024
DESCRIPTION:With the UK Government building on the ten-point action plan for a green industrial revolution\, the industry will need to retrofit and build new infrastructure\, unlock private investment to boost final investment decisions and explore ways to secure a sustainable hydrogen economy and build the case for hydrogen to be traded as a commodity. \nHydrogen Priorities\nAlongside this strategy\, the UK Government has also published a series of consultations\, including the NZHF\, the HBM and the UK low-carbon hydrogen standard. \nWith the support of the government and our enterprise agencies\, coupled with private investment and innovation\, we are now seeing the emergence of the next generation of hydrogen projects and investment decisions across multiple industries. \nEvent Synopsis\nThe hydrogen market is set to undergo rapid change and expansion to meet upcoming climate objectives. Long-term revenue contracts will be critical for early low-carbon hydrogen projects to obtain future financing. During this one-day conference\, stakeholders and Industry will discuss how we overcome various challenges and secure more final investment decisions. \nSplit into four sections\, we’re looking for industry experts to contribute to the following:\n• How we successfully create a competitive\, integrated UK market for low-carbon hydrogen\n• How Hydrogen can realise its full potential as a globally traded commodity\n• How we secure a flow of Investment into the hydrogen economy\, specifically industry.\n• The development of the end user and the decarbonisation of industries

SUMMARY:Hydrogen in Transport Conference 2024
DESCRIPTION:Our hydrogen transport conference will be held at the Radisson Blu Manchester Airport on 04 July 2024. \nWith transport being responsible for around a quarter of transport emissions\, it is clear the UK government won’t be able to achieve overall net zero targets without formulating a plan for transport. \nWe will be hearing from industry experts across aviation\, rail\, and the highway sectors to find out about their vision to create a sustainable future and how hydrogen will fit into the energy mix. \nThe conference will allow organisations an opportunity to showcase products and solutions that the transport sector can take away and incorporate into their long-term vision. \nThis includes innovative new products\, solutions and overall new ways of thinking which will help transform the UK into a truly resource-efficient nation. \nSpeakers\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\nChris Ashley\nHead of Policy - Road Haulage SUMMARY:Hydrogen Safety 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Hydrogen Industry Leaders event series\, coupled with the ongoing monthly magazine has seen a wide range of topics and conversations surrounding the hydrogen economy. \nWhether talking about the biggest projects across Scotland and the rest of the UK\, securing a hydrogen supply chain\, or the role of the public sector in building the hydrogen economy; there is one golden thread. How do we ensure safety in the hydrogen sector? \nOther questions circling the sector include: \n\nWhat health and safety laws currently apply to UK hydrogen activities?\nWhat possible approaches are there for further regulating hydrogen in the UK?\nWhat does the hydrogen health and safety regulation picture look like internationally?\nWhat is being done to assess hydrogen safety in practice?\n\nThis one-day conference will explore these questions in further detail in a UK context\, and outline the pathway to ensuring hydrogen safety in practice – arguably one of the biggest barriers to entry into the hydrogen sector. \nWhether you have products and solutions to improve the safety of hydrogen use or are working on legislative changes outside the DSEAR\, this conference is a must-attend event that will provide you a platform to showcase these solutions and offer insights to industry leaders.

SUMMARY:HIL Ellesmere Port
DESCRIPTION:Our HIL 100 Breakfast Hubs are moving into its third year\, bringing together the key stakeholders at the heart of hydrogen production and offering a first hand information to help you  understand the opportunities available.  Low carbon hydrogen will be produced at the Stanlow Manufacturing  Complex and will produce 3TWh of low carbon hydrogen – double the UK’s total current production of biomethane – which will be provided to industrial and eventually domestic customers in the region.  The facility will deliver low cost\, low carbon hydrogen at scale and high efficiency\, and with a very high carbon capture rate – over 95% of the carbon used in the process will be captured and stored\, thanks to the pioneering carbon capture technology. When operational\, the facility will capture 600\,000 tonnes of CO2 per annum – the equivalent of taking over 250\,000 cars off the road. \nHydrogen will be distributed by way of a new pipeline network under development by Cadent\, which will also provide the pathway for renewable hydrogen once costs come down in the future. The funding will also deliver the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) of the plant\, providing a reference design for the facility to be replicated across the UK and internationally. \nTo find out more email enquiry@hydrogenindustryleaders.com

SUMMARY:HIL Europe London: Advancing Clean Energy Innovation
DESCRIPTION:Safety in hydrogen is at the forefront of growing the hydrogen economy\, and with different legislation across different countries\, including the UK and the rest of Europe; there are growing questions about how we will trade hydrogen internationally. \nInterestingly\, on a global scale\, a wide range of hydrogen safety programmes are well established and developing at scale. The Hydrogen Europe Safety Conference will explore these developments in further detail and explore where this leaves the UK. \nIn Europe\, the European Hydrogen Safety Panel (EHSP) was launched in 2017 to support the EU’s Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking in projects and programmes. The EHSP focuses on promoting safety in the production\, storage\, distribution and use of hydrogen\, recognising that any failure would have a serious impact on the public’s perception of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. \nThe EHSP’s general protection objective is to exclude or at least minimise potential hazards and associated risks to prevent impacts on people\, property and the environment. \nProgrammes such as this develop a free best practice and training resource for emergency responders dealing with hydrogen-related incidents\, as well as providing up-to-date\, credible information relating to hydrogen safety. \nWhile these policies are in place and constantly evolving the following questions still remain: \nWhat possible approaches are there for further regulating hydrogen in Europe? \n\nWhat does the hydrogen health and safety regulation picture look like internationally?\nWhat is being done to assess hydrogen safety in practice?\nHow European standards will impact the UK’s ability to trade hydrogen in the future?\n\nThis two-day conference will explore these questions in further detail in a UK context\, and outline the pathway to ensuring hydrogen safety in practice – arguably one of the biggest barriers to entry into the hydrogen sector. \nWhether you have products and solutions to improve the safety of hydrogen use or are working on legislative changes\, this conference is a must-attend event that will provide you a platform to showcase these solutions and offer insights to industry leaders.
