The transport decarbonisation 2035 challenge in Scotland: a new Hitachi partnership to deliver net zero
The Scottish Government has set one of the world’s most ambitious rail decarbonisation targets – net zero passenger services by 2035. In order to meet this ambitious target, Transport Scotland has identified that new technology, including battery-electric trains, need to be introduced on Scotland’s railways in the quickest possible timeframe. This is why Hitachi Rail and Hitachi ABB Power Grids are joining forces to offer a combined battery train and charging solution for Scotland. At this event you will be able to learn how Hitachi Rail and Hitachi ABB Power Grids are using their sector expertise to create brand new clean-tech solutions that will help the rail sector decarbonise. Come and hear how two Hitachi businesses are planning to capitalise on the success of Scotland’s Class 385 trains and how this collaboration can benefit the UK rail sector.
