Hydrogen Cymru 2025
We’re delighted to be hosting our Hydrogen Cymru conference to bring together the leading voices to discuss how hydrogen can accelerate the transition to net zero.
The Hydrogen Research Briefing launched by the Welsh parliament in July 2024 highlights the vision for Wales

Whilst large scale production of hydrogen doesn’t yet exist in Wales, there are several large scale green hydrogen production facilities being progressed.
• HyBont in Bridgend, which consist of a 5.2MW electrolyser (5.2MW) and solar farm
• Whilst large scale production of hydrogen doesn’t yet exist in Wales, there is commercial green hydrogen available. Protium has been supplying green hydrogen and, building on this success, Protium will open its second hydrogen production facility in 2025, featuring a 2.5 MW electrolyser and located in South Wales.
• West Wales Hydrogen electrolyser in Milford Haven
• The ‘Pembroke Phase I’ 110MW electrolysis plant in Pembroke – In North Wales, there is the development of the Holyhead Hydrogen Hub to supply transport activities at Port of Holyhead
This one-day conference will discuss how hydrogen can be produced to be used in transport, industry and heating, listening to the leading thought leaders through a series of presentations and panel discussions.
