Denmark To Contribute To World’s First Dynamic Ammonia Plant
Nel Hydrogen has received a $4.07m purchase order for an electrolyser system to produce green ammonia in Denmark. Hydrogen Industry Leaders looks at how the plant will test how ammonia can benefit the country.

The Norwegian company has said that the order submitted by Skovgaard Energy Aps in Lemvig, Western Jutland, Demark will contribute to the world’s first dynamic green ammonia plant and the plant will test how an ammonia sector can fluctuate operations based on renewable power input.

In addition to this, it is hoped that the plant will provide insights for future large-scale power-to-X and green ammonia projects.

Senior Tender Manager at Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser, Henning Langås, said: “We are thrilled for this project, which will be an important milestone in the green transition as it showcases green hydrogen production into green ammonia directly from renewable sources.

“Skovgaard Energy is an exciting client, and we look forward to continuing a fruitful relationship with the company and partners.”
